How do I apply for a position at AGATO?
Use the application form on this page: tell us the position, attach your CV and any certificates, and send it. For the translator role, the professional translator page describes the work, the hiring process and what to include.
Do you hire freelance translators and interpreters?
Yes. Alongside in-house roles we work with freelance translators and interpreters, remotely and on site. Say in your application whether you are looking for in-house or freelance work, and list your language pairs.
What do you look for in a translator or interpreter?
Native or near-native command of at least two languages, proven professional experience, knowledge of a subject such as law, medicine or engineering, and careful attention to detail. Certification, such as UAE Ministry of Justice licensing or NAATI, is a strong advantage.
Is there a test as part of the hiring process?
For translation and interpreting roles, yes: a short test in your language pair, reviewed by a senior linguist. For other roles, the process depends on the position and we explain it when we contact you.
What happens after I apply?
We review every application. If your experience matches a current or upcoming opening, we contact you to arrange the next step. Applications are kept on file, so we may be in touch later when a suitable role opens.
