Chinese translation
Certified Chinese translation in Dubai for the trade that moves between China and the Gulf. Simplified and Traditional script, Mandarin and Cantonese, by native translators who know the commercial and technical vocabulary.
Professional Chinese translation in Dubai and the UAE
China has expanded its businesses and projects across the world, and particularly into trade hubs like Dubai. There are Chinese workers, visitors and traders throughout the city, and the Chinese market supplies goods in every sector from textiles to electronics.
All of that trade generates paperwork: invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, quality certificates, supply contracts and technical specifications, most of which have to exist in Arabic, English and Chinese at once.
At AGATO our Chinese translators work across multiple dialects and understand the cultural subtleties that make a commercial document land properly. See document translation for trade paperwork and legal translation for contracts.

About the language
There are many dialects and varieties within Chinese, but Mandarin is the most spoken language in the world, and the sheer number of Chinese speakers globally is why demand for Chinese translation keeps rising.
The choice that matters most for written work is the script. Simplified Chinese is used in mainland China and Singapore; Traditional Chinese is used in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. They are not interchangeable, and sending the wrong one signals carelessness to the reader.
For spoken work the distinction is dialect rather than script: Mandarin for most of the mainland and Taiwan, Cantonese for Hong Kong, Macau and much of the overseas community. That matters for voice over and interpreting.

FAQ
Simplified for mainland China and Singapore; Traditional for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. They are not interchangeable and the wrong one is immediately obvious to a reader. If you are unsure, tell us where the document is going and we will choose.
For written translation the question is script rather than dialect, since both use the same written standard. For interpreting and voice over the dialect matters: we provide Mandarin and Cantonese speakers, so tell us which your audience uses.
Yes. Where the document is going to a UAE court, ministry or government department, we provide a Ministry of Justice certified translation, stamped and signed by a licensed translator. For universities, employers, banks and embassies, a certified translation on our company letterhead is normally what is required. Tell us the destination and we will issue the right one.
Short documents such as a certificate are typically ready in about four hours when we receive them during office hours, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Longer documents and rarer subject areas are usually returned within 24 to 48 hours. We confirm the timeline with your quote.
Price depends on the length of the document, the language pair, the subject and whether you need certification, notarisation or a hard copy. Send us a scan and you will get a fixed price rather than an estimate that moves later.
Yes. Chinese work is done by native speakers of the target language who also have a background in the subject — legal, medical, technical or commercial — because terminology is where a fluent but non-specialist translation comes apart.
A clear scan or photograph is enough for the translation itself. If the authority receiving it requires a stamped hard copy, we produce one for collection at our office on Sheikh Zayed Road or for courier.
They will if you send us the passport spelling. Transliterating a name into or out of Arabic has more than one valid answer, and a translation that disagrees with the passport is the most common reason a document is sent back. Send both together and we match them exactly.
Yes. We provide Chinese interpreters for meetings, hearings, medical appointments and conferences, on site across the UAE or remotely. See interpretation services for the modes available.
Yes. Access is restricted, handling is secure, and your document is used only for your translation. An NDA is available on request, and it is signed as a matter of course for corporate and legal work.
