Our history
From one translator to a certified language company
The story of AGATO started in 1986, when Hadi Abu Ghazaleh completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Translation and Interpretation, following a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Damascus University in 1985. The name AGATO comes from Abu Ghazaleh Translation Office.
Originally known as a supplier to suppliers — translating for other language service providers — the company grew by earning the trust of the agencies it worked alongside, and went on to serve clients directly. Today it operates from its head office in Dubai, with offices in Jordan, Egypt and New Zealand and partners in Australia, Austria, Canada and the United States.
Along the way AGATO gained the certifications that matter most to its clients: Ministry of Justice certification in the UAE, ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 17100 for translation services, and the ability to provide NAATI and NZSTI certified translations for Australia and New Zealand.

Is AGATO certified?
Yes. AGATO is certified by the UAE Ministry of Justice for legal translation, holds ISO 9001 and ISO 17100 certification, and provides NAATI certified translation for Australia and NZSTI certified translation for New Zealand.

Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Gulf Standard Time. Quotes and document uploads are accepted online at any time.
