High-quality scheduled telephone interpretation

Arranging language support ahead of time

Making prior arrangements for language support can save your day in expected professional settings like business meetings, legal consultations or medical appointments. Our scheduled telephone interpretation lets you book an experienced interpreter for a specific time and date, so communication runs smoothly with an industry-specific interpreter who knows the field.

At AGATO we have a team of trained and experienced interpreters working in multiple languages, assisting individuals and organisations across Dubai and the UAE.

Why scheduling changes the result

The value of booking ahead is not the calendar entry. It is that an interpreter who knows in advance what the call is about can read your case file, learn your product names, check the medical or legal terminology, and arrive already fluent in your subject rather than translating it for the first time while you talk.

That is the one thing on-demand phone interpreting cannot give you, however fast it connects. Use on-demand when the situation is unplanned; schedule whenever you know the call is coming.

The process of scheduled telephone interpretation

From booking to billing

Five steps, with the preparation happening before anyone picks up the phone.

  1. Request

Contact our team by phone, email or online and ask for an interpreter.

  2. Choose and schedule

Select the language and book the date and time of the session.

  3. Brief the interpreter

Send documents, an agenda or a glossary so they can prepare the terminology.

  4. The session runs

We connect you at the scheduled time and the interpreter renders both sides in real time.

  5. Billing

The session is billed by duration under the terms agreed at booking.

FAQ

Telephone interpretation questions, answered

What is scheduled telephone interpretation?

Scheduled telephone interpretation is an interpreter booked for a specific date and time to join a call. Because the booking is made in advance, we can assign a specialist in your subject and brief them on the terminology before the call begins.

How is it different from on-demand phone interpretation?

Scheduling buys you preparation. On-demand phone interpretation connects an available interpreter within minutes, which is what you want in an emergency, but that interpreter arrives cold. A scheduled interpreter has read your material and knows the subject before anyone speaks.

How far in advance should I book?

A day or more is usually enough for common language pairs. Rarer languages, technical subjects and long sessions benefit from more notice, because the pool of specialists in any given field is smaller than the pool of interpreters.

What can I send the interpreter beforehand?

Agendas, medical records, case files, contracts, product names, glossaries and the names of everyone on the call. All of it is treated as confidential, and all of it improves the session. Terminology prepared in advance is the single biggest difference between a good call and an adequate one.

How is scheduled telephone interpretation billed?

By the duration of the call, under the terms agreed with you when you book. There is no equipment to hire and no travel to pay for, which keeps it well below the cost of an on-site interpreter.

What happens if the call runs over?

Tell us the expected duration when you book and we will hold the interpreter for a reasonable margin beyond it. If a session is likely to run long, say so in advance so the interpreter is not double-booked immediately afterwards.

Which languages do you cover?

More than 120 languages, with Arabic and English in both directions the most requested, followed by French, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog, Russian, German, Chinese and Spanish. Booking ahead is what makes the rarer pairs possible.

Can the interpreter join a video call instead?

Yes. The same booking works over a video platform as well as a telephone line. Tell us which platform you use and we will make sure the interpreter is set up on it before the scheduled time.

Know when your call is?

Tell us the date, the languages and the subject, and send anything the interpreter should read first. We will confirm the booking and the price.
